IN MEMORIAM

It was with great sadness to learn of the sudden death of Derek Gregory, late of the 2nd Wisconsin.

My sincere condolences go to his family and friends

Known for his music playing around the campfires, he will be sorely missed by his comrades.

I will never forget the memorial ceremony at the ACWS Colours, When three of the 69th New York, played one of his favourite tunes. It was a very apt tribute to a departed comrade.

Musical Tribute at Colours

Dear Friends of ACWS.

I write to thank everyone in the ACWS who donated to the collection you made on behalf of my brother Derek Gregory. It was very kind of you all and very greatly appreciated. Many, many thanks from myself, Derek’s sons, Lee & Dean and the rest of the family. Your kindness will not be forgotten, you are such wonderful people. The money(£400) was used to pay towards his funeral .I had applied for a state funeral grant but was refused, so what you raised was so wonderful. We hope to see you all again when the battles start again.

Many, Many Thanks

Linda, Lee & Dean & Family
