Directions: Weston Park is situated on the A5, 9 miles to the west of the M6, at Weston-under-Lizard, Nr. Shifnal, Telford, Shropshire. If you are travelling up the M6 from the South, take the M54 to Junction 3. Follow the brown Weston Park signs.

Camping is available from the Thursday morning 24th. July until Tuesday 29th. July. It is advisable to arrive no later than Friday evening if at all possible.

DO's & DONT's

Access to Weston Park for re-enactors is through the main A5 entrance, ONLY. The gates will be open from 7 a.m. to 12 midnight. On Friday there will be a re-enactor guard on duty to unlock the gates for emergencies and to late arrivals.

  1. No post Civil War transport will be allowed on the authentic camps between 9.00 a.m. Saturday and 5.30 p.m. Sunday.
    Please obey the directions of parking supervisors.
  2. Unloading of equipment is permitted before 9.00 a.m. Saturday, and between 5.30 p.m. Saturday and 9.00 a.m. Sunday
    The authentic camps must then be kept authentic after 9.00 a.m. on Saturday for the duration of the weekend.
  3. All re-enactors vehicles MUST be parked in the separate Car Park that has been allocated for the Authentic camps, please either read the signs or ask someone if you don’t know where it is. All visitors to the authentic camps must also use this car park and NOT THE CAMPS. Do not use the public car parks.
  4. There will be no firing of guns before 1.00 p.m. or after 5.30 p.m.
  5. Photographing or videoing on the battlefield only by prior expres permission for authenticity awareness reasons.
  6. On camp, cut noise and be considerate of others.
    Noise curfew is to be 12 midnight on Family Camp and 1.00 a.m. on authentic camps for this event.

Food will be available in the Catering marquee from 8.00 a.m. throughout the day. The bar in the marquee will be open from Thursday evening, serving alcohol from 5.30 until 11.00 p.m. through to Sunday evening. The bar in the Stables yard will also be open until 11.00 p.m. if you fancy a quiet drink on Saturday evening. On Friday and Saturday evenings there will be various musical entertainment in the marquee. We ask you to respect the owners of the bars and not bring your own drinks in.

The nearest pubs and shops are about 5 miles from the park. You can find all of the Superstores in Telford.

When you are leaving, please check the area where you have been camping to ensure that you have left no rubbish behind. Please place all rubbish in bags and place in the skips provided on leaving. All fires must be doused, cleared and the turf replaced.
