4th July - MARKET DEEPING, Lincs - CONFIRMED

This event is in Glebe Park and John Eve Field (opposite Tescos), Godsey Lane, Market Deeping, Lincolnshire for this July 4th weekend.
Living History and displays from 10 AM on the Saturday, plus parade and battle.
Members camping available from Friday 2 PM until Sunday morning.
Displays on SATURDAY only.

11th July - HINGHAM, South Norfolk - CONFIRMED

Full society event at the Abraham Lincoln Bi-Centenary Celebration, Hingham, South Norfolk, a delightful village.
In the 1600s, villagers left Hingham to sail to the New World. Among them was Samuel Lincoln, ancestor of the 16th US President.
On Saturday night there will be a hog roast, bar, and Live Blue Grass Music.
There is to be a Memorial Service in the church on Sunday afternoon to which ACWS members are encouraged to attend.
Members camping available from Friday afternoon until Sunday morning.
Displays on SATURDAY only.

18th July - LIVERPOOL - GRAVE MARKER CEREMONY

The ACWS will be participating in a grave marker dedication ceremony at two o’clock on July 18, 2009 at the address below. The ceremony will include a service for Lieutenant Irvine S. Bulloch, CSN & Lt. Colonel James H. Stubbs, GAR. It is important that we remember the past and honour those who took part.
Members should wear their smartest reenacting gear, and bring their muskets / sabres, and licenses. Please be there no later than 1.30 pm for the 2 pm ceremony

Full society event at Cusworth Hall, Cusworth Lane, Doncaster, South Yorkshire, DN5 7TU. The Museum is located 2 miles north of Doncaster, off the A638 Doncaster to Wakefield Road. It is signposted from the A1 and A638.

30-31st August - SHEFFIELD, South Yorks - CONFIRMED

August Bank Holiday event at Norfolk Heritage Park, Sheffield, S2 2RB.
Sheffield City Council event with EventPlan staging Multi-Period displays again as part of the Sheffield Fayre.
Members camping available from Friday afternoon until Tuesday.
Displays on SUNDAY and MONDAY.

Directions:
From the North, East or South: M1 Junction 33, then A630/A5/A61S to city centre via Sheffield Parkway.
From the West: A57 to city centre.
From city centre: From the main Park Square roundabout (off Sheffield Parkway) take the A61(S) (Sheaf Street), past the railway station. Bear left, still on the A61(S) into Suffolk Road, then straight over the next roundabout past MacDonalds and up Farm Road. Turn next left into Park Grange Road under the Metro, then proceed up the hill until you see the park signs.
We are to enter the park by the Norfolk Park Road entrance.

Delightful site in the middle of beautiful Cheshire countryside.

19-20th September - PARIS WESTERN SHOW - SOSKAN Event

ACWS Members have been invited to join SoSkAn at this event in Paris.
Parking will be in Dover at the same rates as last time. We leave by Coach early on Thursday 17th and get back to Dover on Sunday 20th late evening.
The £75 price per head is actually cheaper than 2007, and there could even be a reduction on this sum if enough members sign up for the trip.

26-27th September - SPETCHLEY PARK, Worcester - POSSIBLE

Possible small ACWS Living History displays at this multi-period event by Worcester Re-enactors at Spetchley Park Gardens, Spetchley, Worcester, WR5 1RS.

10-11th October - BATH - SOSKAN Event

ACWS Members have been invited to join SoSkAn at this annual event at The American Museum in Britain, Claverton Manor, Bath, BA2 7BD.

5th December - ACWS AGM & CHRISTMAS DANCE - CONFIRMED

The ACWS Annual General Meeting and The Christmas Dance are to be held on the same day at the Alsager Civic Centre, Lawton Road, Alsager, STOKE-ON-TRENT, ST7 2AE, on Saturday 5th December 2008. The AGM will be held in the afternoon at 1 PM and the Dance in the evening from 7.30 PM until midnight.
